Ingredients
  • 2 Tablespoons butter or coconut oil for sautéing
  • 8 medium apples (I used Granny Smith), peeled and chopped and coated with the juice from ½ lemon
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut milk, or cashew cream
  • 1/2 Tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 bag 1 bag Cinnamon PaleoKrunch Cereal If NOT using PaleoKrunch, use 1 recipe for Easy Grain-free No-bake Pie Crust

Cook Time -30-40minutes

Instructions
  1. Melt your butter or coconut oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add lemon-coated chopped apples and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until apples start to “give up” their water and get soft.
  3. Add cream, coconut milk or cashew cream to the apples in the saucepan and continue cooking for about 10 minutes, until most of the cream has evaporated.
  4. Add cinnamon and maple syrup to saucepan and briefly stir them in. Remove saucepan from heat and allow it to cool briefly.
  5. Put apple mixture into a round or square casserole dish. Top with PaleoKrunch OR crumbled Easy Grain-free No-bake Pie Crust.
  6. If you use the No-bake Pie Crust as topping, put the mixture into the oven and broil for a few minutes to brown the topping. Watch it closely!
