Sarabba Chai

This warming, spicy drink recipe comes from Indonesia. It’s similar to a chai tea but with no caffeine, so you can enjoy it at bedtime.

Ingredients
  • 1 can full-fat coconut milk 1 + 1/2 cups
  • 1/2 cup filtered water
  • 1 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 pinch ground cardamom
  • 1 pinch ground cloves

Instructions
  1. Heat all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk to combine.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve warm.

  1. This is amazing! I added a pinch of salt like suggested and used fresh ginger instead.
